After 25 years writing and editing for newspapers and magazines in major markets, I launched my  career as an independent journalist in 2008, specializing in healthcare. In fall, 2014, I began teaching graduate-level editing to Medill students.

  • Healthcare reporting and editing, including medical conference coverage. 2015 coverage took me to the European AIDS Conference in Spain and ECCMID in Denmark as well as infectious disease conferences across the US. 2016 conference coverage will include CROI, TEDMED, HIMSS, Big Data in Biomedicine and  RSNA.
